Job DescriptionA Cashier is an important member of our Star Nursery team.
Often the first person a customer sees when entering our stores, our Cashiers ensure that final step of the Star Nursery shopping experience is efficient and pleasant.
Our Cashiers accurately record the sale of merchandise for our customers while maintaining a great attitude and professional completion of the sale.
Ring up customersKeep front end clean and stockedAnswer telephonesHelp stock merchandiseStraighten and dust merchandiseCheck for consistent pricingSweep floors as neededOrder/Make signs when necessaryPick up trashFace and restock shelves and end capsOther Duties as AssignedPhysical Aspects of the jobFrequently bending, twisting and rotating trunk, arms and legsStanding 100% of the time/walking 99% of the time/climbing 10% of the timeWorking with arms extended and bent constantlyFrequently moving parts and stock weighing up to 35 pounds, 10 to 50 feetOccasionally moving parts and stock weighing up to 50 pounds; pushing and pullingoccasionallyFrequently moving merchandise weighing 10 to 25 pounds from floor to counterOccasionally moving and stocking overhead shelves with parts weighing 5 to 15 poundsConstant gross hand and finger dexterity; frequently grasping and manipulatingConstant hand and eye coordinationSalary:
$16 per hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
