Night Watch

General Summary: Monitors and cares for the physical and emotional needs of Sunrise's students during traditional sleeping hours. (11pm-7am). The typical shift is either from 11pm- 3am or 3am-7am.
Pay starts at $10.00 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Completes bed checks every fifteen minutes.
Ensures that each student is safe and is in her assigned bed.
Assists students who are ill or who are otherwise having difficulty.
Remains alert and awake at all times.
Completes household chores as assigned.
Punctuality and dependability are essential.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of student rules, and level requirements.
Knowledge of Sunrise's policies, found in the training manual.
Knowledge of proper charting procedure.
Skill in problem solving.
Skill in de-escalating agitated students.
Ability to perform CPR and First-Aid.
Ability to safely hold or restrain an upset or combative student.
Ability to operate the security system for the house.
Education and Experience:
The position requires a valid driver's license. Staff must be 21 or older to transport students in company vehicles. Solid reference information from at least two previous employers is a must. Experience working with at risk youth and/or post high school training in the field of mental health is preferred but not required.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
